Nigerian goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards, marking a significant achievement in her career. 

The award, presented by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), recognises Nnadozie’s outstanding performances for both her national team, the Super Falcons, and her club, Paris FC.

Nnadozie’s exceptional shot-stopping abilities and leadership in goal have made her one of the standout players in African women’s football. Her performances during the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where she was pivotal in Nigeria’s impressive run, were particularly highlighted. 

The 23-year-old was lauded for her composure, reflexes, and agility, often making critical saves to keep her team in contention in tough matches.

In addition to her international success, Nnadozie has been a key figure at Paris FC, consistently putting in top-tier performances in domestic competitions. Her consistency and growth in the French league have further cemented her status as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers.
